Haaland faces prison sentence in Switzerland
Unusual case involves a fine of 60 Swiss francs
The almost 20 million euros he earns per year at Manchester City seem not to be enough for Erling Haaland to pay a fine of 60 Swiss francs, 65 euros, and therefore risk a one-day prison sentence the next time he visits that country!
The information comes from the Swiss newspaper Blick, which belongs to the same group as A BOLA, Ringier, which reports that the case may be related to a traffic fine in the canton of Vaud, where the Norwegian international’s father has lived since the end of 2023.
The document in the “official notice sheet”, a kind of official newspaper for that canton, is dated the end of October, with Blick highlighting that, if Haaland does not voluntarily pay the fine, he risks serving a day in prison when he returns there.
