Domination at best, exploitation at least. That’s how Al Nassr slipped up again in the Saudi championship, with a defeat against Al Qadsiyah.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Otávio were starters for Stefano Pioli’s team, who quickly assumed that he wanted to control the game at home. It was in the first minute that the best scorer in the history of football threatened Casteels ‘ goal and, half an hour later, he took advantage of a mistake by the Belgian goalkeeper to score the first goal of the match, in the confusion in the area. Al Nassr were thus in the lead, which they deserved but, despite that, it was short-lived.

Five minutes were enough for the advantage to disappear, with Quiñones equalising to take the score level at half-time. Five minutes was also the time the match remained level in the second half: in the 50th minute, Aubameyang made it 2-1, thus confirming the comeback for Al Qadsiyah.

Al Nassr lost their focus and were unable to create much or anything. Aubameyang even came close to beating Bento again, if not for a great save with the Brazilian goalkeeper’s feet. Little inspiration, little ability to turn the tables and, above all, few goals. Al Nassr dropped points again in the league, in what was the first defeat for the Saudi runners-up last season.
