PSG Accepts €15M Offer as Marco Asensio Agrees Four-Year Deal with Fenerbahçe

PSG accepts proposal and forwards sale of Marco Asensio to Fenerbahçe

Fenerbahçe have reached a full agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer of Spanish midfielder Marco Asensio, in a deal reportedly valued at €15 million, according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna.

Asensio, 29, is set to sign a four-year contract with the Turkish giants, marking a major addition to José Mourinho’s squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. The move comes after a strong loan spell at Aston Villa, where the former Real Madrid player helped guide the English club to the Champions League quarterfinals.

Although Asensio did not always feature in the starting XI under Unai Emery, his decisive performances in high-stakes matches across both the Premier League and Europe rekindled interest in his talents on the continental stage. Fenerbahçe acted swiftly, capitalizing on PSG’s willingness to part ways with the midfielder, who was not in Luis Enrique’s plans for the upcoming campaign.

The Turkish club had been in advanced talks with PSG in recent weeks and secured approval from both the French side and the player to proceed with the transfer. With personal terms agreed, the final paperwork is expected to be completed in the coming days.

Asensio’s move to Istanbul signals his ambition for a leading role in a competitive environment. At Fenerbahçe, he is expected to play a central part in Mourinho’s tactical setup as the club prepares for both domestic challenges and European competition.

This signing represents another statement of intent from Fenerbahçe, who continue to bolster their squad with experienced international talent. Asensio’s versatility able to play both as a winger and an attacking midfielder will offer Mourinho greater tactical flexibility in a pivotal season for the club.

An official unveiling is anticipated soon, pending the finalization of formalities and a medical.
