Harry Kane is considering leaving Bayern to return to the Premier League; Manchester United are eyeing him

Harry Kane is weighing a return to English football, with Manchester United closely monitoring the Bayern Munich striker’s future, according to Fussball Transfers. Despite a successful spell in Germany, the England captain is reportedly open to rejoining the Premier League after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Kane Eyes Shearer’s All-Time Scoring Record

Sources suggest that Kane’s interest in returning to the Premier League stems from his long-standing ambition to surpass Alan Shearer’s all-time scoring record. The 30-year-old currently sits second in the all-time chart and sees a return to England as essential to achieving that goal.

Kane joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 and has since thrived, finishing as the Bundesliga’s top scorer in back-to-back seasons and finally winning the first titles of his club career.

Despite this success, the striker is said to be evaluating a return to his home country in the coming years, particularly after the 2026 World Cup in North America.

Manchester United Keep Tabs on Kane

Manchester United have long been admirers of Kane and are reportedly keeping a close eye on his situation in Germany. The Red Devils attempted to sign the striker in the past, and with Kane possibly seeking a return, the club may revisit those ambitions.

The report adds that while Kane is not unhappy in Munich, he would be open to a move if the timing and project are right.

Bayern Won’t Let Kane Go Cheap

While Kane’s interest in leaving is growing, Bayern Munich is not expected to entertain offers lightly. The England star is under contract until June 2027, and the German giants are expected to demand at least €75 million for his transfer (approx. R$480 million at the current exchange rate).

Given Kane’s elite form and market value, any transfer would likely require a substantial financial package, both in terms of transfer fee and wages.
