Real Madrid Finalize Jacobo Ramón Transfer to Como with Strategic Buyback Clauses

Real Madrid have reached a full agreement with Como 1907 over the transfer of Jacobo Ramón, in a move that aligns with Xabi Alonso’s strategic squad planning for the upcoming season.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the 20-year-old central defender will join the Serie A club for a fee of €2.5 million (approx. R$16.24 million), with performance-based bonuses and multiple buyback clauses included in the deal.

No Room Under Xabi Alonso This Season

Despite showing promise, Ramón was not expected to receive regular minutes under new head coach Xabi Alonso. Standing at 1.96 meters tall, the young defender is seen as a long-term prospect, and the club chose to allow his development to continue in Italy, where he is likely to receive more game time.

The contract reportedly includes three separate buyback windows, allowing Real Madrid to repurchase the player over the next few seasons if he progresses as hoped.

50% of Future Sale Retained by Madrid

As part of the agreement, Real Madrid will retain 50% of any future transfer fee if Como decides to sell Ramón to another club. This model combining upfront sale, performance bonuses, and buyback clauses is increasingly being used by Madrid to manage emerging talent without severing ties completely.

Jacobo Joins Former Teammate Nico Paz at Como

Ramón is set to reunite with Nico Paz, another Real Madrid talent currently at Como under a similar agreement. Managed by Cesc Fàbregas, the Italian club has become a strategic development ground for Real Madrid’s youth products.

Paz, who represents Argentina at youth level, had been linked with a possible return to Madrid this summer, but those plans have reportedly been shelved for now.

Real Madrid to Slow Down Transfer Activity

After completing several major signings including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Álvaro Carreras, Dean Huijsen, and Franco Mastantuono Real Madrid are expected to slow their transfer activity for the remainder of the window.

The club is still evaluating the potential signing of another midfielder, with Enzo Fernández among the names being monitored. However, no formal approach has been made at this stage.
