Luis Díaz Chooses Bayern Munich Over Barcelona and Tells Liverpool He Wants to Leave

Colombian winger Luis Díaz has reportedly decided to leave Liverpool during the current transfer window and has already chosen his preferred destination.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the 27-year-old star has opted to join Bayern Munich, despite long-standing interest from Barcelona.
Díaz Rejects Barcelona Over Financial Fears
While Barça’s football director Deco has been a strong supporter of Díaz’s arrival at Camp Nou, the player is said to have doubts about the club’s financial stability, particularly regarding player registration issues. This uncertainty has tipped the scales in favor of the Bundesliga giants.
Personal Terms Agreed With Bayern
Plettenberg reports that Díaz has reached a full personal agreement with Bayern, who have offered the forward a four-year contract through June 2029. However, there is no agreement yet between Bayern and Liverpool on the transfer fee.
Liverpool Set €100M Asking Price
Liverpool are reportedly demanding €100 million (approx. R$648.9 million) for their Colombian star a valuation Bayern Munich consider excessive. The German club is negotiating to lower the fee, but remain confident of finalizing the deal.
Díaz joined Liverpool in January 2022 from FC Porto and quickly became a key figure at Anfield. However, with Liverpool entering a new era under manager Arne Slot, the player appears ready to seek a new challenge abroad.
