Bayern Munich Eye Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard as Next Target After Luis Díaz

After reaching a personal agreement with Liverpool winger Luis Díaz, Bayern Munich are now turning their attention to Leandro Trossard of Arsenal, aiming to bolster manager Vincent Kompany’s attacking options ahead of the 2025–26 season.

Bayern Contact Trossard Amid Contract Uncertainty

According to German journalist Christian Falk, Bayern have already initiated direct contact with Trossard. The Belgian forward’s current contract with Arsenal runs until June 2026, meaning he will be eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement in January 2026 if no extension is agreed.

Aware of the situation, Arsenal are preparing a renewal offer to secure the player’s future. However, Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to offer a higher salary, which could turn the tide in their favor.

Arsenal Determined to Retain Trossard

Trossard, 30, joined Arsenal in January 2023 from Brighton & Hove Albion for €24 million (R$155.74 million). Since then, he has become a key part of Mikel Arteta’s rotation, valued for his versatility and technical ability.

Arteta has made it clear to the club’s board that he wants Trossard to stay, underlining the Belgian’s importance to Arsenal’s long-term plans.

Díaz Deal Advances as Barcelona Drop Out

Meanwhile, Bayern remain focused on closing a deal for Luis Díaz, who has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the German club. Florian Plettenberg confirmed that the Colombian forward prefers Bayern over Barcelona due to financial concerns surrounding the Catalan side.

Barcelona, once strong contenders for Díaz, have now shifted their focus to a loan move for Marcus Rashford, effectively leaving Bayern alone in the race.

A Strategic Summer for Kompany’s Bayern

With Vincent Kompany at the helm, Bayern are making assertive moves to rebuild their attack. The combination of Luis Díaz and Leandro Trossard would bring pace, creativity, and experience to the flanks a clear signal of the club’s ambition to reclaim domestic and European dominance.
