Al-Hilal offers record salary to hire Victor Osimhen

Al-Hilal have submitted a jaw-dropping proposal to sign Victor Osimhen, offering the Napoli striker a total salary package worth €160 million roughly R$1 billion over a potential four-year contract.
The Saudi giants are making their boldest move yet in the transfer market as they look to reshape their squad with global superstars, and Osimhen, 25, is at the center of the plan.
Osimhen Offered €40M per Year in Saudi Deal
According to reports from the Italian press, Al-Hilal have offered Osimhen €40 million per season, quadrupling his current salary at Napoli. The deal includes:
- 3-year contract, with an optional 4th year
- €160 million net total salary
- €75 million release clause (valid for foreign clubs)
If accepted, the Nigerian striker would become one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.
Saudi Ambitions: Project Inzaghi in Motion
Al-Hilal’s latest transfer plan is part of a broader ambitious project led by new coach Simone Inzaghi. The club is targeting key names from Serie A, including AC Milan’s Theo Hernández and now Victor Osimhen, to:
- Bolster their squad for the Asian Champions League
- Improve results in the FIFA Club World Cup
- Raise the league’s global profile
Osimhen is seen as a franchise player who could transform the team’s attacking force.
What About Napoli and European Interest?
Osimhen remains under contract with Napoli until June 2026, and his release clause set at €75 million could be activated by non-Italian clubs. However, Al-Hilal’s astronomical salary offer may fast-track negotiations.
Still, other top clubs are circling:
- Manchester United and Juventus are monitoring his situation
- Galatasaray are reportedly trying to bring him back after his 37 goals in 41 matches last season
Napoli have not yet officially responded to the Saudi offer.
Al-Hilal’s Situation in the Club World Cup
Al-Hilal are currently third in Group G after two draws. The Saudi club must beat Pachuca in the final group match to keep their hopes alive of reaching the round of 16 in the Club World Cup.
