Manchester United remain without a permanent manager following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim, and their search for a high-profile replacement has already hit a setback. The club made contact over the availability of Simone Inzaghi, but the Italian coach has decided to stay at Al-Hilal.

United Push for an Immediate Solution

With their Premier League campaign struggling and the risk of missing out on European qualification once again, Manchester United see the appointment of a new head coach as urgent. The club’s hierarchy is prioritizing a proven name capable of taking charge immediately and stabilizing results.

In recent days, Simone Inzaghi emerged as one of the candidates considered internally by the Red Devils.

Inzaghi Turns Down United Interest

According to journalist Nicolò Schira, Manchester United contacted Inzaghi’s camp to explore the possibility of a move. The Italian tactician was viewed as an attractive option due to his experience at the highest level and his recent success in Saudi Arabia.

However, the approach did not progress. Inzaghi reportedly declined the offer immediately, making it clear that he intends to see out his contract with Al-Hilal and has no interest in leaving the club at this stage.

Manager Search Continues at Old Trafford

Inzaghi’s refusal leaves Manchester United still searching for a solution, with time becoming a growing concern. The club is aware that delays could further impact performance and planning for the remainder of the season.

Solskjær Emerges as Leading Alternative

While United continue to assess options, Ole Gunnar Solskjær has emerged as the current frontrunner. According to ESPN, the former United manager is open to returning and has already signaled his willingness to take charge for the rest of the European season.
