PSG’s Vitinha sees a move to Real Madrid with positive eyes in a €90 million deal

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha is open to joining Real Madrid in the future, viewing the potential transfer as a “natural step” in his career, according to Defensa Central. The 24-year-old Portuguese is reportedly a key request from incoming coach Xabi Alonso, who wants a new starting midfielder to lead his project.

Spanish journalist Andrés Martínez reports that Vitinha’s release clause is set at €90 million (R$568 million) for the summer of 2026. Real Madrid see the fee as a rare opportunity in the current market, but face resistance from PSG, who are reluctant to lose another star after Kylian Mbappé’s move to Spain.

The Spanish giants value Vitinha’s versatility and vision, considering him an ideal successor to Toni Kroos or Luka Modrić. Last season, he hit peak form, winning multiple titles with PSG and finishing among the top 30 in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

Vitinha previously had a short spell in England with Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he struggled before returning to shine in France.

Plan B for Real Madrid’s midfield reinforcement is Inter Milan’s Nicolò Barella, another player Alonso admires. While no move is expected this season, strengthening the midfield remains a top priority for 2025/26.
