Real Madrid leaves PSG aside and decides to sell Rodrygo to Liverpool

Real Madrid are preparing to part ways with Rodrygo this summer, and club president Florentino Pérez is pushing for the Brazilian forward to join Liverpool rather than Paris Saint-Germain, according to Defensa Central.
Despite winning every major title since arriving in Spain, the 24-year-old has seen his importance diminish, finishing last season mostly on the bench. In 54 appearances, Rodrygo scored 14 goals and delivered 10 assists numbers slightly below his 2023/24 campaign, when he contributed directly to 25 goals in 51 games.
Liverpool and PSG are both monitoring the player, but Real Madrid’s leadership reportedly prefers dealing with the Premier League side, even if it means accepting a lower transfer fee. For PSG, the price tag would be set higher, reflecting the tense relationship between the clubs after Kylian Mbappé’s free transfer to Madrid last year.
PSG’s move for Rodrygo may depend on selling Bradley Barcola, who is also on Liverpool’s radar. Meanwhile, Madrid are eyeing PSG midfielder Vitinha, whose price could reach €130 million.
