Flamengo could see Anderson Talisca sign with Mano Menezes’ Grêmio

Brazilian playmaker linked with surprise return to Brazil amid strong interest from Porto Alegre club

Brazilian midfielder Anderson Talisca may be heading back to Brazil but not to Flamengo, the club most frequently linked with the former Bahia standout. According to journalist Fábio Vargas, the 31-year-old has now been offered to Grêmio, who are actively pursuing attacking reinforcements under manager Mano Menezes.

Talisca, who recently joined Fenerbahçe from Al-Nassr, has played 23 matches in the second half of the Turkish season, scoring 12 goals and providing 2 assists. Despite his productive form, reports suggest he is open to a move closer to home and Grêmio may provide that opportunity.

Grêmio’s Ambitions Grow as Flamengo Watches On

While Flamengo has long been associated with Talisca’s name in the transfer rumor mill, the club could now watch one of its potential targets land at a domestic rival.

Grêmio, meanwhile, is actively searching for a high-profile addition to bolster their squad. Roger Guedes remains the club’s top target, but other marquee names including Paulo Dybala and now Talisca have also been discussed internally.

A Career Abroad and the Mourinho Connection

After emerging at Bahia, Talisca’s career took him to Benfica, Besiktas, and a lucrative stint in China with Guangzhou Evergrande. He then moved to Al-Nassr, where he starred alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, before signing for Fenerbahçe, now managed by José Mourinho.

Interestingly, Mourinho himself has been tipped as a possible managerial target for Grêmio in 2026, according to local reports a move that, if realized, would signal the club’s increasingly bold ambitions on and off the field.
