Former Barcelona dream Rafael Leão would like to swap Milan for Bayern Munich

Portuguese star Rafael Leão has reportedly made his preference clear amid growing speculation over his future at AC Milan. According to BILD, the 25-year-old forward would like to join Bayern Munich, signaling his intentions to his representatives, who are now exploring a potential move to the Bundesliga giants.
Leão Linked to Multiple European Clubs
One of the most coveted names in the current transfer market, Leão has been targeted by several elite clubs, including Barcelona and Al-Nassr. However, financial constraints prevented Barcelona from advancing talks, while Leão turned down the Saudi offer in favor of remaining in Europe.
Despite being under contract with Milan until June 2028, the Portuguese international appears open to a move but only if it’s to Bayern Munich, the report states.
Bayern Focused on Other Targets
While Leão is eager to join the Bavarians, Bayern Munich is currently prioritizing other signings. Their primary target is Luis Díaz from Liverpool, with the German side reportedly considering a €80 million bid for the Colombian winger.
As of now, Bayern has not initiated formal talks with Milan regarding Leão, despite his apparent interest.
Milan Remains Firm on Release Clause
Leão’s contract with AC Milan includes a €175 million release clause, making any potential deal a financial challenge for interested clubs. Milan considers the forward one of its most valuable assets, and he remains central to the club’s long-term plans.
The player has also received public praise from teammates and legends alike, including Luka Modrić, who recently described him as one of Europe’s most exciting attacking prospects.
