Atlético Madrid beat Seattle Sounders 3-1 on matchday two of the Club World Cup. Diego Simeone’s side are still dreaming of qualifying.

Atlético Madrid defeated Seattle Sounders 3-1 in the second round of Group B of the Club World Cup. Pablo Barrios (11′ and 55′) and former Benfica player Axel Witsel (47′) scored for Diego Simeone ‘s side , while Albert Rusnak scored the only goal for the MLS side.

With this result, Renato Paiva’s Botafogo are top of Group B with six points, three more than PSG and Atlético Madrid. In last place are the already eliminated Seattle Sounders, with just one point.

In the last round, Botafogo and Atlético Madrid will face each other, while PSG will face the Seattle Sounders.
