Atalanta beats Roma in Serie A and secures a place in the Champions League
A narrow 2-1 victory at the end of the 36th round of Serie A.

The Atalanta hosted and beat AS Roma 2-1 this Monday, at the end of the 36th round of Serie A. The Bergamo team secured third place and also participation in the Champions League in 2025/26.
In the first half, there were two goals, one for each side. First, in the 9th minute, Lookman left Svillar rooted to the spot to open the scoring. In the 32nd minute, Cristante, ex-Benfica player, restored parity following an accurate header.
In the second half, the key moment of the match came in the 76th minute, with a beautiful goal from Sulemana from the edge of the area, leaving the Roman goalkeeper with no chance.
Atalanta are in third place with 71 points, while AS Roma are in sixth place with 63, just three points ahead of Sérgio Conceição’s AC Milan.
