Debast and a strong return to Belgium’s squad
Thibaut Courtois returns to the squad after coach change
Sporting player Zeno Debast was called up to the Belgium national team, in the first list of Rudi Garcia, who succeeded Domenico Tedesco.
Thibaut Courtois is also on the list of 26 players , confirming the return of the Real Madrid goalkeeper to the Red Devils after the change of coach.
Courtois ‘s much-anticipated return to the squad has caused quite a stir, as Casteels , who has been a regular since the summer of 2023, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that the Real Madrid player can decide to return whenever he wants without any consequences, and has resigned from the national team. Courtois’s last match for Belgium was on 17 June 2023, in a Euro 2024 qualifier.
Belgium will face Ukraine on 20 and 23 March in the Nations League League A play-off .
