Empoli beat Parma to end Serie A winless streak
On Saturday 10 May 2025, Empoli secured a crucial 2-1 win over Parma at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, ending a five-month Serie A winless streak. The result keeps the Tuscan side’s hopes of avoiding relegation alive.

Empoli opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Jacopo Fazzini, who finished with precision after an assist from Liam Henderson. Parma’s situation became even more complicated in the 31st minute when Lautaro Valenti received his second yellow card and was sent off, leaving his team with a man down.
Despite being outnumbered, Parma managed to equalise in the 73rd minute with a goal from Milan Djuric, who latched onto a cross from Hernani. However, in the 86th minute, Tino Anjorin scored a beautiful goal from outside the box, after a pass from Emmanuel Gyasi, securing the victory for Empoli.
With this result, Empoli now has 28 points and is in 17th place in the table, still in the relegation zone, but with a chance of staying in the top flight of Italian football. Parma, in turn, remains with 32 points in 16th place.
In the next round, Empoli will face Monza away from home, while Parma will host Napoli.
