Como beats Cagliari in Serie A and adds six consecutive victories
They beat Cagliari with a great match from the Argentine talent.
Cesc Fàbregas ‘ Como 1907 season has been impressive. They beat Cagliari, with nothing at stake and the Sardinians fighting to avoid relegation, and now have six consecutive wins. They haven’t lost, in fact, since March 15 (2-1 against Milan) and have secured their 10th place in the 2024-25 Serie A.
A fantastic feat considering it was their first season in Serie A after more than two decades of absence. And while they struggled to find continuity in the first half of the season, with better play than results, this 2025 season has confirmed that they are not even ready to think about suffering.

And they proved it against Cagliari. Como, who spent 50 million in the winter transfer window, is a very good football team. They overcame Adopo’s 1-0 deficit and were far superior to Cagliari throughout. Caqueret equalized, and before halftime, Strefezza made it 2-1 with a Nico Paz assist.
The Tenerife-born Argentinian also provided the assist for Patrick Cutrone’s 3-1 goal, making it six goals and nine assists in his first season in the top flight. A wonderful player project is brewing in northern Italy under Cesc Fàbregas, and there’s no shortage of Spaniards: Pepe Reina and Álex Valle started today, with Alberto Moreno coming off the bench.
With two games remaining, Como is 10th with 48 points… 11 less than Fiorentina’s ninth place. A place they can’t reach now, but they’re firmly in a top-10 spot.
