Rasmus Hojlund agrees to join Napoli as Manchester United prepare exit talks

Striker no longer part of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford
Napoli close to signing Hojlund
Napoli is moving fast to secure the signing of Rasmus Hojlund, who has agreed to leave Manchester United this transfer window. According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian side already has a verbal agreement with the Danish striker, who is ready to return to Serie A.
The deal, however, still depends on an agreement between Napoli and the English club, which has so far been reluctant to approve the player’s departure.
Negotiations ongoing with Manchester United
In recent weeks, several European clubs have expressed interest in Hojlund, but United’s board has set tough conditions for his release. Still, Napoli has advanced in talks and scheduled a new round of negotiations with the Red Devils this Thursday (28), in hopes of closing the transfer.
Hojlund outside Amorim’s plans
At Old Trafford, Hojlund is no longer considered part of Ruben Amorim’s project. Since arriving last season, the striker has struggled to establish himself as a starter, and the club’s recent investments in attack have limited his opportunities.
Return to Italy
For the 21-year-old striker, the move to Naples would represent a return to Italian football, where he previously played for Atalanta before moving to the Premier League. Napoli sees him as a key reinforcement to boost its attack for the new season.
