Real Madrid wants PSG’s Vitinha, but the midfielder is untouchable and won’t leave

Real Madrid has placed PSG’s Vitinha high on their transfer wish list, but the French giants have made it clear: the Portuguese midfielder will not leave Parc des Princes under any circumstances this summer.
PSG closes the door on Real Madrid approach
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, PSG has no intention of negotiating for the 25-year-old. The player’s contract runs until June 2029 and does not include a release clause, giving Paris Saint-Germain full control. Both president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and coach Luis Enrique consider Vitinha a cornerstone of their project and have labeled him “untouchable.”
Madrid’s long-term interest
Vitinha has been admired by Real Madrid’s board for several seasons. Reports in Spain suggest that Los Blancos could revisit their pursuit in 2026, when strategic changes in the squad are expected.
For now, however, any attempt to sign him is off the table.
Player’s numbers at PSG
Since joining from FC Porto in 2022, Vitinha has steadily grown into one of PSG’s most consistent performers. Last season, he made 59 appearances, scoring eight goals and delivering five assists. This season, he has already contributed one goal and one assist in three matches.
Real Madrid’s midfield puzzle
Vitinha’s name emerged as Real Madrid braces for the possible departure of Dani Ceballos, who is close to leaving the Santiago Bernabéu. That would leave Jude Bellingham, Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Arda Güler as the main midfield options a concern for new coach Xabi Alonso.
