Milan are negotiating with Giovanni Fabbian while awaiting Harder’s decision

Rossoneri explore Bologna midfielder as Plan B while deal with Sporting for Conrad Harder develops.

Milan’s double midfield move

AC Milan are actively working to reinforce their midfield before the transfer window closes. While negotiations with Sporting for Danish midfielder Conrad Harder are ongoing, the club has also opened talks with Bologna over Giovanni Fabbian, reports A Bola.

The 22-year-old Italian is being considered as a possible replacement if Yunus Musah leaves San Siro in the coming days.

Fabbian as alternative option

Despite a season of mixed opportunities at Bologna 41 appearances, only nine starts, but four goals scored Fabbian has impressed with his versatility. He can operate as a defensive midfielder or in a more advanced role, showing tactical flexibility that appeals to Milan.

His strong physical presence and ability to attack space make him an intriguing candidate as Milan look to balance their midfield ahead of the new campaign.

Harder deal still priority

For now, Milan remain focused on closing the deal for Harder. However, progress depends on Sporting finding a replacement for the Dane. Should negotiations stall, the Rossoneri view Fabbian as a reliable alternative.

With the transfer window entering its final stretch, Milan could pursue one or possibly both midfielders, depending on how talks evolve in the coming days.
