Kingsley Coman shines on debut, Al-Nassr defeats Al-Ittihad and reaches the final of the Saudi Super Cup

Al-Nassr qualified for the Saudi Super Cup final after defeating Al-Ittihad 2-1 on Tuesday (19) in Hong Kong. The spotlight, however, was not only on Cristiano Ronaldo and João Félix, but also on new signing Kingsley Coman, who impressed on his debut for the Saudi club.

Coman’s Impressive First Match

Signed from Bayern Munich for €30 million (R$191 million), Coman delivered an active and energetic performance in his first official game. According to Sofascore, the 29-year-old:

  • Completed 100% of his passes
  • Recorded 32 touches on the ball
  • Created four key passes
  • Delivered one cross and a successful dribble

His debut earned him a 7.5 rating, confirming the expectations surrounding his arrival.

João Félix and Cristiano Ronaldo Lead the Way

While Coman’s performance stood out, it was João Félix who secured the win with two decisive goals—although one was ruled out. Cristiano Ronaldo also played a crucial role, providing the assist for Félix’s match-winning strike in the second half.

The victory came despite Al-Nassr playing much of the game with 10 men, after Sadio Mané scored the opener but was sent off shortly afterward. Al-Ittihad equalized through Steven Bergwijn, but Félix’s goal sealed the 2-1 result.

Coman’s Arrival and Contract Details

Coman joined Al-Nassr on August 15 after nearly a decade with Bayern Munich, where he won multiple Bundesliga titles. He signed a three-year contract and is expected to play a central role in Jorge Jesus’ tactical setup.

Last season, the French international featured in 45 matches, with nine goals and five assists. He previously represented PSG and Juventus before his long spell in Germany.
