Manchester United presents terms and millionaire value to negotiate Rasmus Hojlund with Milan

Manchester United have outlined the conditions for a potential deal sending striker Rasmus Højlund to AC Milan, agreeing to a paid loan with an option to buy, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
Loan Fee and Purchase Clause
United’s proposal includes a €6 million loan fee (R$37 million) with full salary coverage by Milan. The arrangement would feature a €45 million buy option (R$284 million) at season’s end.
Club officials, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, see the move as a step toward offloading a player whose performances have not matched the €77.8 million (R$492 million) invested to sign him from Atalanta.
Mixed Returns at Old Trafford
Since arriving in 2023, the Danish forward has made 95 appearances, scoring 26 goals and providing six assists. While United claimed the 2023/24 FA Cup and reached last season’s Europa League final, internal consensus is that Højlund’s output fell short of expectations.
Serie A Interest and Competition
Milan are not alone in pursuing the 21-year-old. Atalanta and Lazio are also monitoring the situation, with Højlund’s familiarity with Italian football seen as a major asset.
Adding a twist, current Bayer Leverkusen coach Erik ten Hag who managed United during part of Højlund’s time in England views the striker as a target for his Bundesliga project and is reportedly pushing for a reunion.
