Gabriel Moscardo Could Leave PSG Without Debut, Loan to Braga Under Discussion

Former Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo is close to securing a loan move to Braga, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola. The 19-year-old Brazilian has yet to make his debut for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) since signing in 2024 and is now expected to continue his development in Portugal.
PSG Plans Loan Move to Braga
The PSG board, led by president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, is reportedly finalizing details to loan Moscardo to Braga, with the possibility of extending the deal for an additional season. The move would give the young midfielder more playing time under the guidance of coach Carlos Vicens.
Moscardo joined PSG from Corinthians, but spent the second half of the 2024–25 season on loan at Stade de Reims to adapt to European football.
Injury-Hit Stint at Stade de Reims
His time in France, however, was marred by injuries. Moscardo missed 75 days of action due to physical setbacks and played in 10 matches across all competitions. He scored one goal, in a 3-1 win over Still Mutzig in the Coupe de France.
Despite his limited minutes, he featured for 45 minutes against PSG in the Coupe de France final, where Reims lost 3-0.
Market Value Drops After Setbacks
Once seen as a rising star, Moscardo has seen his market value drop to €8 million (R$52 million) due to injuries and a lack of playing time. A loan to Braga could offer a fresh opportunity to regain form and showcase his talent in a competitive environment.
Background: From Corinthians to Europe
Gabriel Moscardo came through the youth system at Corinthians, where he broke into the first team and earned a high-profile move to PSG. His rapid rise earned praise in Brazil, but his European journey has been off to a rocky start.
The proposed move to Braga is expected to be finalized in the coming days as both clubs finalize terms.
