Hansi Flick wants Bayern Munich’s Bryan Zaragoza, and the striker decides to wait for Barcelona

New Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has identified Bryan Zaragoza as a key transfer target, with the Spanish striker reportedly willing to wait for an offer from the Catalan club, according to Sport.
The Bayern Munich forward, who spent last season on loan at Osasuna, is being closely monitored by Barça’s sporting director Deco and president Joan Laporta. Zaragoza is seen as a player who can strengthen the squad’s attacking depth heading into the 2025–26 season.
Flick Pushes for Reinforcements
Sources say that Flick specifically requested the signing of two new attackers for Barcelona, and Zaragoza was among the names proposed. Despite limited success at Bayern, the 22-year-old remains highly rated for his technical skill and versatility on the wing.
Barcelona reportedly sees the Spain international as a low-cost, high-potential signing, and Zaragoza is said to be open to delaying other moves if there’s a chance of joining the Blaugrana.
From Bayern to Osasuna
Bayern Munich acquired Zaragoza from Granada for €13 million (R$84 million), but the forward failed to make an impact in seven appearances for the German giants. He was then loaned to Osasuna, where he scored once and delivered six assists in a promising but injury-hit season.
In December 2024, Zaragoza suffered a metatarsal fracture, followed by a muscle injury in March, which sidelined him for a combined 14 matches. Despite these setbacks, he ended the campaign with 28 appearances.
Market Value Holds Despite Injuries
Despite his struggles with fitness, Zaragoza remains valued at €12 million (R$78 million), and his age and potential continue to attract attention from top European clubs.
Barcelona’s Transfer Outlook
With limited financial flexibility, Barcelona is looking for smart acquisitions, and Zaragoza fits the profile of a cost-effective signing with La Liga experience. His ability to play across the frontline could prove valuable as Hansi Flick reshapes the squad.
Whether a formal offer will be made remains to be seen, but for now, Zaragoza appears content to wait for Barcelona’s call.
