With two goals from João Pedro, Chelsea beat Fluminense and go to the World Cup final

Striker revealed by Tricolor scores both goals in England’s victory; Chelsea awaits the winner of PSG x Real Madrid
Chelsea in the Cup final
Chelsea defeated Fluminense 2-0 this Tuesday and are the first finalists of the Club World Cup. The English side prevailed at MetLife Stadium with two goals from João Pedro, a striker recently signed by Chelsea and a product of the Tricolor. With Fluminense’s elimination, the participation of Brazilian clubs in the tournament in the US comes to an end.
Ex Law, Part 1
Before the tenth minute of play, Enzo Fernández had two chances to threaten Fábio. But the score only broke the deadlock in the 17th minute, when João Pedro, a Fluminense talent, capitalized on Cano’s mistake on the way out and passed to Pedro Neto. The number 7 came out on the left, crossed into the box, and Thiago Silva cleared it – but the kid from Xerém appeared to finish on goal, beating Fábio.
Fluminense tried to react, and Hércules nearly equalized after a one-two with Cano. The midfielder burst into the box and shot between Sánchez’s legs, but Cucurella cleared it off the line. The referee awarded a penalty to Fluminense, but reversed his decision after checking the monitor, noting that Chalobah’s arm was in a natural position.
Ex Law, Part 2
The second half started hotly, with Caicedo shooting over the bar and Cucurella attempting a shot just wide of Fábio’s goal. Everaldo heeded the Fluminense fans’ calls and shot on goal, but Sánchez kept the ball.
Moments later, João Pedro reinforced his former teammate’s example at MetLife Stadium: Bernal misplaced a pass, and Palmer beat the Uruguayan and Renê in a challenge. Chelsea’s number 10 passed to Enzo Fernández, who fed João Pedro on the counterattack. The former Fluminense player dribbled past Ignácio and fired home a beautiful goal.
Thiago Silva also saved a shot from Nkunku later in the half, and Nicolas Jackson nearly scored Chelsea’s third. Fluminense’s best chance came from Lima, but his shot went over Sánchez.
