Manchester City massacres Juventus and comes 1st in Group G of the club world
Savinho scored a goal and provided an assist in the English team’s massacre

In the game that was worth the leadership of the group, Manchester City thrashed Juventus 5-2 and secured the best campaign of the phase in the Club World Cup, with 100% success. The match was held this Thursday (26), at Camping World Stadium, in Orlando (USA), and had goals from Doku, Kalulu (bizarre own goal), Haaland, Foden and Savinho – a great goal – for City; Koopmeiners and Vlahovic for Juve.
With the victory, Manchester City secured first place in Group G of the competition and could face Fluminense in a hypothetical quarter-final stage. Juventus took second place and will face the first-placed team in Group H, which could be Real Madrid.
How was the game between Juventus and Manchester City?
First half
The first half was largely dominated by Manchester City, who had most of the action in the attacking half. In the 3rd minute, Ait-Nouri made a great play on the left flank and crossed for Bernardo Silva, who took the first shot and forced a great save from Di Gregorio.
In the 8th minute, Doku received the ball on the left inside the box, free of his marker, and finished with precision to open the scoring for Manchester City. Vlahovic then received the ball inside the box, free of his marker, and had the chance to equalize for Juventus, but he wasted it.
In the next move, Ederson made a poor pass and handed the ball to Koopmeiners, who took the ball past the Brazilian goalkeeper to level the match. In the 25th minute, a bizarre own goal gave Manchester City the lead back. Savinho found Matheus Nunes on the right wing, who crossed into the box and saw Juve defender Kalulu get tangled up and send the ball into his own net.
Second half
The second half started the same way the first half ended – Manchester City dominated. In the 6th minute of the second half, Reijnders found a sensational pass to Matheus Nunes, who was one-on-one with the goalkeeper and served Haaland, who was now without a goalkeeper, to extend Manchester City’s lead.
In the 23rd minute, Haaland made a great move at the edge of the box and passed the ball to Savinho, who dribbled past the goalkeeper and allowed Foden to finish to make it four for Manchester City. In the 30th minute, Savinho scored a great goal for Manchester City. After a back and forth inside the box, the ball fell to the Brazilian, who finished with his right foot and hit Di Gregorio’s goal. The ball hit the crossbar before going into the back of the net.
