FIFA Names Qatar Airways as Official Airline for 2025 Club World Cup in the United States

Airline giant to boost global visibility and fan experience during historic tournament
FIFA has officially named Qatar Airways as the official airline sponsor of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States starting June 14. The announcement marks a significant extension of the airline’s global sports sponsorship portfolio, which already includes the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, and numerous high-profile football clubs.
The deal grants Qatar Airways extensive branding rights and in-stadium visibility across all Club World Cup matches. Additionally, the airline will roll out exclusive fan experiences, further enhancing its role as a key partner in major international sporting events.
“We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with Qatar Airways as we embark on this exciting new chapter, a truly historic moment for world football,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Qatar Airways Strengthens Ties With Global Football
The partnership is part of Qatar Airways’ strategic mission to associate its brand with elite-level football. With a network of over 170 destinations worldwide, including 11 gateways in the U.S., the airline is positioning itself as the travel partner of choice for fans, players, and officials attending the event.
“Our presence goes beyond branding,” said Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways Group. “We aim to elevate the fan experience and unite people through our global connectivity and passion for football.”
Expanded Commercial Footprint for the Club World Cup
In addition to the airline sponsorship, FIFA also announced a deal with Cromotransfer, a company that will handle the production of official patches for the tournament.
This expanded commercial strategy reflects FIFA’s ambition to elevate the Club World Cup to new heights, especially with this edition marking the first time the tournament will feature 32 teams, making it a global spectacle akin to the traditional World Cup.
Brazilian Fans Set to Tune In Via Globo and CazéTV
In Brazil, fans will be able to follow all 63 matches of the tournament thanks to an exclusive broadcasting agreement signed between DAZN, Grupo Globo, and CazéTV. Four Brazilian clubs Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense, and Botafogo have qualified, adding national excitement to the global stage.
