Following their explosive physical altercation during last weekend’s London derby, Adama Traoré and Marc Cucurella have officially made peace during a live broadcast.

The clash between West Ham and Chelsea made headlines not just for the scoreline, but for a viral moment where Traoré used his immense strength to toss the Spanish full-back to the ground. The incident sparked a general brawl, with Chelsea’s João Pedro rushing in to defend his teammate, leading to a tense face-off with Traoré that quickly became a trending meme across social media.

“It Stays on the Pitch”

Days after the 3-2 Chelsea victory, the TV3 program Fan Zone managed to bring the two Spaniards together via video call to clear the air. Traoré was quick to downplay the hostility, insisting there is no lingering animosity toward Cucurella or João Pedro.

“Everything stays on the field; it’s nothing personal,” Traoré explained. “It was never my intention to hurt anyone. It was the heat of the moment, the adrenaline of the game. I’ve already spoken to the officials about it.”

Cucurella’s Witty Response

Cucurella, known for his sense of humor, accepted the apology but couldn’t resist a joke about Traoré’s intimidating physique. “I’m relaxed now because there’s a screen between us,” the defender quipped, drawing laughs from the presenters.

Cucurella ultimately had the last laugh on the pitch as well, scoring in the match to help Chelsea secure the three points, while Traoré’s Hammers continues to struggle.

Premier League Stakes

The reconciliation comes at a crucial time for both clubs. Chelsea currently sits in 5th place, firmly in the hunt for a Champions League spot. Meanwhile, West Ham faces a grim reality, languishing in 18th place and fighting to escape the relegation zone.
