Bayern Munich have officially secured the future of one of their most decorated stars. On Thursday, February 5th, the club announced that Serge Gnabry has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the Allianz Arena until June 2028.
Gnabry, who joined the Bavarian giants in 2017, will now complete at least ten years at the club. With 100 goals and 69 assists in 311 official matches, the German international’s legacy is already set in stone, but his hunger for more remains the driving force behind this renewal.
“I Feel at Home”
Speaking to the club’s official website, Gnabry expressed his joy at continuing his journey in Munich:
“I never imagined I would be here for ten years when I made my debut,” Gnabry admitted. “The reasons for staying are the team, the coaches, and the fans. I feel at home at Bayern Munich. We are a real team, and we can still achieve great things together.”
A Multi-Champion Legacy
Gnabry’s trophy cabinet is a testament to Bayern’s dominance over the last decade. Since his arrival, he has secured:
- 6 Bundesliga titles
- 1 UEFA Champions League
- 1 FIFA Club World Cup
- 2 DFB-Pokal trophies
- 1 European Super Cup
Board member Max Eberl emphasized Gnabry’s importance beyond the pitch: “He has already won everything and still wants more. This makes him an example to follow in the locker room.”

Tactical Importance for Vincent Kompany
Despite the arrival of new talents in 2026, Sporting Director Christoph Freund highlighted that Gnabry remains vital to Vincent Kompany’s tactical setup. “He is versatile in attack, fast, and skillful. Everyone can see how much he enriches our game with his attitude and personality,” Freund stated.
In a season of transition for many European giants, Bayern’s decision to lock down Gnabry ensures they maintain a winning core as they push for further silverware in the 2025/26 campaign.
