Bayern Munich accept €8m offer from Everton for Adam Aznou after Kompany approves

Bayern Munich has agreed to sell promising Moroccan full-back Adam Aznou to Everton in a deal worth €8 million, following the approval of new head coach Vincent Kompany. The 18-year-old, who was not in the German club’s plans for the 2025/26 season, is expected to be unveiled by the Premier League side in the coming days.
Aznou Leaves Bayern for Everton
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Everton moved quickly to finalize the agreement, recognizing Aznou’s potential to contribute immediately to their first-team squad. The Toffees will pay €8 million for the full-back, who is widely regarded as one of Morocco’s most promising young defenders.
Bayern, focused on restructuring under Kompany, opted to offload the player as part of a broader plan to trim the squad and prioritize core players for the upcoming season.
Kompany Endorses Squad Overhaul at Bayern
Head coach Vincent Kompany has been fully aligned with Bayern Munich’s sporting directors in identifying players surplus to requirements. Several other exits are expected to follow, as the German giants aim to create space for future reinforcements.
Kompany has personally endorsed the sale of Aznou, who joined Bayern from Barcelona’s youth setup in 2022 but failed to break into the senior squad.
Brazilian Talents on Bayern’s Radar
In parallel, Bayern is scouting emerging talents from Brazil, with an eye on Kaio Jorge (Cruzeiro) and Breno Bidon (Corinthians). Both players are being evaluated by the recruitment department, and at least one is expected to be pursued during the summer transfer window.
Everton Plan to Use Aznou Immediately
Aznou will likely be integrated into Everton’s starting XI under manager Sean Dyche, as the club continues its long-term rebuild. His arrival signals a strategy shift at Goodison Park, favoring youthful profiles with resale potential and international pedigree.
