Manchester City Women continued their dominant run in the Women’s Super League (WSL) on Sunday (11) by defeating Everton 2–0 at home in the 12th round of the competition. The victory marked City’s 11th consecutive league win, allowing the team to maintain a six-point advantage over second-placed Chelsea.

Needing a positive result to protect their lead at the summit, the Cityzens delivered a composed and controlled performance from the opening minutes. The breakthrough came in the 26th minute, when Kerolin found the back of the net after a precise assist from Kerstin Casparij, putting Manchester City firmly in command before halftime.

Miedema Seals Another Important Victory

After the break, Manchester City continued to dictate the pace of the game and eventually secured all three points in the 63rd minute. Vivianne Miedema doubled the lead with a well-taken finish, effectively ending Everton’s hopes of a comeback.

The result further underlined City’s consistency this season, as they once again demonstrated their ability to control games and convert chances at crucial moments.

Women’s Super League Standings

With the win, Manchester City now have 33 points from 12 matches, having recorded 11 victories and just one defeat so far in the WSL campaign. Their impressive run keeps them comfortably ahead in the title race as the season progresses.

Everton, meanwhile, remain in 10th place in the table after suffering their eighth loss of the season. The Toffees have managed two wins and two draws from their 12 league matches and continue to struggle for consistency.

Manchester City’s Next Match

Manchester City will now shift their focus to the Women’s FA Cup. The Cityzens are set to face Bournemouth in the fourth round of the competition next Sunday (18), with kickoff scheduled for 13:00 pm.
