Liverpool Women have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Jennifer Falk, marking the club’s second acquisition of 2026 as they look to turn around a difficult season in the Women’s Super League.

The 32-year-old arrives on loan from Swedish side BK Häcken and will remain with the Reds until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Liverpool Seek Reaction After Poor Start to the Season

Currently bottom of the WSL table, Liverpool are under pressure to spark a revival after a disappointing first half of the campaign. The team is still searching for its first league win, having recorded three draws and eight defeats in 11 matches so far.

Club officials see the January window as a crucial opportunity to reinforce the squad and inject confidence ahead of the decisive second half of the season.

Jennifer Falk Joins to Strengthen Goalkeeping Options

Liverpool officially announced Falk’s arrival on Wednesday (7). The experienced goalkeeper comes in with the clear objective of competing for the starting spot and bringing stability to a defense that has struggled for consistency.

Speaking after her presentation, Falk expressed her enthusiasm about the move and the challenge ahead, highlighting her motivation to help Liverpool climb the table.

Busy January Ahead for the Reds

In addition to league action, Liverpool will also compete in the Women’s FA Cup this month. The Reds are set to face London Bees in the fourth round of the competition, a match that could provide momentum if results begin to turn.

Next Match: Return to WSL Action

Liverpool return to the pitch this weekend for Matchday 12 of the Women’s Super League, where they will take on London City on Sunday (11), with kickoff scheduled for 14:30 p.m. (UK time).
