SALZBURG – The race for the next great European striker is heating up. Kerim Alajbegovic, the 18-year-old Bosnian sensation often dubbed the “Heir to Erling Haaland” due to his imposing physical presence and clinical finishing, has openly declared his desire to join Real Madrid.
In a candid interview with FACE TV, the RB Salzburg forward made no secret of his ambitions. “My dream is to play for Real Madrid,” Alajbegovic admitted. “Since I was a child, I have done everything in my power to one day reach the Bernabéu and play for them.”
A “Clásico” Battle on the Horizon?
While his heart may be set on the Merengues, the young striker is keeping his options open in Spain. “If Barcelona comes for me, I wouldn’t have any problem with that either,” he added. His ultimate goal is clear: a move to La Liga in the near future.
The Leverkusen Buy-Back Clause

Currently shining in Austria with 10 goals and an assist in 27 appearances this season, Alajbegovic’s future is legally tied to Germany. He revealed that Bayer Leverkusen is expected to activate a buy-back clause this summer.
“It is very likely that Leverkusen will activate the clause in the summer. The question then becomes whether they will sell me to Spain, England, or Italy. I don’t think they will keep me in the Bundesliga,” the striker explained.
European Giants Circling
Real Madrid and Barcelona aren’t the only clubs monitoring the Bosnian’s rapid rise. Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the teenager, according to Marca.
At just 18, Alajbegovic remains grounded but determined: “I’m not a big star yet. There will be time for that. But I will do everything I can to become one.”
