LONDON – The first-ever Women’s Club World Cup Final is set to be a clash of titans. Following Arsenal’s emphatic semifinal win over ASFAR, the Gunners’ stars are already turning their attention to their final opponents: South American giants Corinthians.

England international Chloe Kelly and midfield engine Katie McCabe both spoke to FIFA’s official media, showing immense respect for the reigning Copa Libertadores champions.

“A Massive Threat”

Chloe Kelly was quick to identify the challenges the Brazilian side presents. “They are a very strong and physical team,” Kelly noted. “We have to be fully prepared for their intensity and the individual quality they bring to the pitch.”

Her teammate, Katie McCabe, echoed those sentiments after watching Corinthians eliminate NWSL champions Gotham FC in the other semifinal. “Beating Gotham is no easy feat; they are a top side. Corinthians showed they have multiple threats, and Gabi Zanotti is clearly someone we need to track closely,” McCabe added.
