LONDON – Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has moved to silence the mounting speculation linking Cole Palmer with a sensational move to Manchester United. Speaking in a press conference this Friday, the Blues’ boss insisted that the 23-year-old playmaker remains fully committed to the project at Stamford Bridge.

Following reports from TEAMtalk suggesting Palmer was “open” to a return to Manchester, Rosenior was quick to downplay any unrest. “I spoke with Cole, and he seems very happy to be here,” Rosenior told reporters. “He is a key piece in our long-term plans. He’s feeling good and was fully involved in training today.”

A Nearly ‘Unsellable’ Asset Even if Manchester United were to firm up their interest, prising Palmer away from London would be a monumental financial task. According to Transfermarkt, the forward is currently valued at €120 million (£100m), but Chelsea’s leverage is even stronger due to the historic contract extension Palmer signed, which keeps him at the club until June 2033.

Having joined from Manchester City in 2023 for what now looks like a bargain £40 million, Palmer has seen his stock skyrocket. Although this season has been hampered by groin, toe, and thigh injuries limiting him to 5 goals in 13 appearances his pedigree remains undisputed after his staggering 25-goal debut campaign.

The Road Ahead While the “Red Devils” continue to monitor the situation, Rosenior’s public backing suggests that Chelsea has no intention of negotiating for their talisman. For now, the focus remains on getting Palmer back to his peak physical condition as the club enters the business end of the season.
