Tottenham beats rivals to secure Kolo Muani’s loan from PSG until the end of the season

Tottenham Hotspur have sealed the loan signing of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, edging out European competition to bring the French striker to North London until the end of the season.

Deal Completed Before Deadline

According to Sport24 and confirmed by British outlets, the 25-year-old forward joins without a mandatory buyout clause, after PSG approved the move late in the transfer window. Personal terms were swiftly agreed, and Spurs are rushing to finalize his medical and registration before the market closes.

Why Tottenham Moved for Kolo Muani

Manager Ange Postecoglou pushed for attacking reinforcements following Dominic Solanke’s injury and Richarlison’s inconsistency. The club views Kolo Muani as a cost-effective, immediate option to add pace, presence in the box, and depth in the final third.

Italian Interest Blocked

Prior to Tottenham’s advance, Juventus and other Serie A sides had pursued Kolo Muani. However, PSG’s demands complicated negotiations with Italian clubs, clearing the path for Spurs to strike a late deal.

Player’s Motivation

Under contract with PSG until 2028, Kolo Muani had fallen out of favor with Luis Enrique this season. The striker sees the Premier League move as a chance to regain form, boost his profile, and fight for a spot in France’s squad at Euro 2024.

Track Record

  • 8 goals in 16 Ligue 1 matches last season
  • Featured in the 2022 World Cup final for France
  • Gained international recognition for his performances on the biggest stage
