Italian coach Francesco Farioli has been awarded Liga Portugal’s Coach of the Month for August after guiding Porto to an unbeaten run in his opening games.

Liga Portugal confirmed on Tuesday (Sept 9) that Farioli secured the monthly honor following three wins and one draw in Porto’s first four league matches. The results gave the club 10 points and an 83% success rate, edging out Petit (Boavista) and Moreno (Vitória SC) in the official vote.
