Corinthians demands R$12.7 million to sell Héctor Hernández to Rayo Vallecano

Corinthians are asking €2 million (R$12.7 million) for striker Héctor Hernández, who has drawn interest from Rayo Vallecano in La Liga. The Brazilian club insists on a permanent transfer as it seeks to balance its finances.
Corinthians Reject Loan Offer
According to RTI Esportes, Rayo Vallecano opened talks and signaled interest in a loan deal, but Corinthians vetoed the option. With urgent financial needs, the club has made clear it only wants to negotiate Hernández through a definitive sale.
The Spanish side, however, considered the fee high and is expected to revisit the player’s situation in 2026, once the transfer window reopens.
Financial Strategy
Timão’s stance is part of a broader effort to generate revenue through player sales. Recently, the club was also linked with a possible €18 million move for Breno Bidon to Saudi side Al-Ahli, according to journalist Raul Mora.
Player’s Situation
Hernández, 29, has struggled for space under coach Dorival Júnior and remains outside the main plans. Since joining Corinthians, the Spanish forward has:
- 24 appearances
- 2 goals
- 1 assist
