Barcelona set to loan Héctor Fort to Elche after Hansi Flick’s approval

Barcelona is finalizing the loan of young defender Héctor Fort to Elche, with paperwork already underway and an official announcement expected soon.

Loan Deal With No Purchase Option

According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Barcelona and Elche (LaLiga 2) are exchanging documents to complete the deal. The loan will be without a purchase option, ensuring Fort remains tied to Barça’s long-term plans.

Initially, the full-back resisted a move and clashed with the board over his future. Later, he agreed to leave in search of more minutes. Mallorca had shown interest, but Elche is now set to become his destination.

Barça’s Busy Transfer Summer

Barcelona’s summer window has been marked by multiple exits but modest revenue. Despite eight departures, the club only earned around €23 million from sales, including:

  • Pau Víctor – Braga
  • Álex Valle – Como
  • Pablo Torre – Mallorca

Major names also left: Ansu Fati (Monaco) and Iñigo Martínez (Al-Nassr). Meanwhile, goalkeeper Iñaki Peña was also loaned to Elche, meaning he will reunite with Fort in the Segunda División.

Coach Hansi Flick had outlined departures before the window, offloading players like Clément Lenglet and Astralaga, while arranging loans for young talents such as Fort to gain experience.

Barcelona’s Next Match After the FIFA Break

After a disappointing draw against Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona now turn their attention to Valencia on September 14th at Mestalla (4 pm Brasília time). Flick will aim to get the team back to winning ways as the league campaign resumes.
