Tiago Djaló is leaving Juventus; Besiktas wants to close a deal for around €5 million

Out of Igor Tudor’s plans, the Portuguese defender is close to a move that could revive his career in Turkey.
Juventus ready to part ways with Djaló
Tiago Djaló’s time at Juventus appears to be coming to an end. After returning from a loan spell at FC Porto, the Portuguese centre-back is not part of Igor Tudor’s project in Turin. According to Sky Sports and Tutto Juve, the club is determined to offload him this summer.
Juventus are asking for around €5 million (R$31.7 million), preferring a permanent sale rather than letting the defender run down his deal, which expires in June 2026.
Besiktas make their move
The strongest candidate to secure Djaló’s signing is Besiktas, who have already opened talks and consider the deal financially viable. The Turkish side sees the defender as an opportunity to strengthen their backline with European experience at a relatively low cost.
For Juventus, the operation would help reduce the wage bill and make space in the squad for new signings.
Djaló’s career crossroads
At Porto, the 24-year-old managed 17 appearances and scored two goals, but disciplinary issues marred his season and led to his exclusion from the squad.
Now, Besiktas could offer Djaló a fresh start and regular playing time in a competitive league. If he refuses the move, the defender will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with another club from January 2026.
For Juventus, however, the priority is clear: sell now to avoid losing him for free and move forward with a cleaner squad structure.
