Real Madrid has received the green light from Porto to move forward with the signing of Rodrigo Mora

Real Madrid are preparing for the possible departure of Rodrygo this summer and have identified Porto’s wonderkid Rodrigo Mora as a potential signing. According to reports in Spain and Portugal, Xabi Alonso has already approved the move, with Porto open to negotiations.
Rodrygo’s future uncertain at Madrid
Rodrygo has struggled for minutes under Xabi Alonso, going two consecutive games without leaving the bench. Several Premier League clubs have shown interest, and the Brazilian forward is reportedly open to a transfer though he is demanding a salary of around R$8 million per month.
Madrid are holding out for at least €100m (R$634.9m) if they decide to sell the 23-year-old attacker.
Rodrigo Mora on Madrid’s radar
With Rodrygo’s situation unresolved, 18-year-old Rodrigo Mora of Porto has emerged as one of the top names on Madrid’s shortlist. Sources close to the Spanish club report that Alonso values Mora’s profile and sees him as a better tactical fit for his system.
Porto’s stance
According to Mercado Azul, Porto are willing to negotiate the transfer, but only if an offer close to the player’s €70m release clause arrives. While this figure is considered high for such a young talent, the Portuguese giants are confident in his value after his recent rise.
Madrid’s next move
At this stage, Real Madrid will only move for Mora if Rodrygo is sold. The teenager is admired at Valdebebas, but the club has made it clear he is not a top priority signing.
