Cremonese target Vardy

Jamie Vardy, 38, could be set for a new chapter in his career. Free since leaving Leicester City, the legendary striker is now in the sights of Cremonese, recently promoted to Serie A. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the club has already made initial contact to explore the signing.

Veteran striker weighs Italian move

The forward is reportedly considering the move to Italy, even as he continues to receive inquiries from other European clubs. Cremonese’s strong start to the season, highlighted by a 2-1 victory over AC Milan at San Siro, has reinforced their ambition to strengthen the squad with experienced names.

Leicester farewell

Vardy departed Leicester following the campaign that saw the club relegated to the Championship. Despite the setback, he ended the season with 10 goals and 4 assists in 36 games, proving his consistency in front of goal.

A historic legacy with the Foxes

Signed in 2012 from Fleetwood Town, Vardy became one of the greatest icons in Leicester’s history. His most famous achievement came in 2015/16, when he scored 24 goals to lead the Foxes to their unforgettable Premier League title, finishing 10 points clear of Arsenal.

He also played a role in the 2021 FA Cup triumph and several European campaigns. In total, Vardy scored 198 goals for Leicester, with 50 of them against England’s “Big Six” clubs Arsenal being his favorite target, conceding 11 goals.
