Newcastle target Benjamin Sesko is in talks with Manchester United

Manchester United have emerged as the frontrunners in the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško, despite competition from Premier League rivals Newcastle United. The 21-year-old remains one of the most sought-after forwards on the European transfer market this summer.
Talks Underway with Player’s Representatives
According to Sky Sports, United are currently in advanced talks with Šeško’s representatives. The Slovakian striker is said to favor a move to Old Trafford, though no formal offer has yet been submitted to Leipzig.
United are optimistic about reaching a deal, viewing Šeško as a long-term investment and a key addition to Erik ten Hag’s attack.
Newcastle Offer Rejected
While Newcastle remain interested, sources indicate that the player is not keen on joining the Magpies at this time. The Tyneside club reportedly made an €80 million offer for the forward, which was rejected by RB Leipzig. The German club is believed to value Šeško even higher, complicating any potential transfer.
Financial Hurdles for Manchester United
Despite being the player’s preferred destination, Manchester United face significant financial challenges. Budget constraints may limit their ability to meet Leipzig’s valuation unless the club offloads players or restructures their spending plans.
RB Leipzig, for their part, are under no pressure to sell, with Šeško under contract and continuing to develop as one of Europe’s top young strikers.
