Douglas Luiz is close to being announced as a Nottingham Forest reinforcement

Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz is close to joining Nottingham Forest in a deal that could be finalized in the coming days. The 26-year-old, currently on the transfer list at Juventus, is in advanced negotiations with the Premier League side, according to The Sun.
Forest Leading the Race
Despite being previously linked with clubs like Liverpool, no permanent offers materialized. Now, Nottingham Forest have stepped up and are on the verge of securing Luiz’s signature. The transfer is expected to be structured as a loan with an obligation to buy, valued at approximately €32 million.
Nuno Espírito Santo Pushes for the Signing
Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo is reportedly a strong admirer of Luiz and played a pivotal role in pushing for the move. He believes the Brazilian international can bolster the club’s midfield and bring much-needed quality and depth ahead of the new Premier League season.
Juventus Lowers Demands
Juventus had initially demanded €40 million for Luiz, but have shown greater flexibility as the window progresses. The Italian club is now keen to finalize the player’s departure and does not intend to block the move.
Douglas Luiz, who previously played for Aston Villa and Manchester City, is set to return to England where he made his name in the Premier League.
