Héctor Fort is close to leaving Barcelona after an offer signalled by Aston Villa

Premier League club Aston Villa is preparing a €15 million (approx. R$96 million) offer for Héctor Fort, as Barcelona signals its willingness to sell the 19-year-old right-back, despite the player’s reluctance to leave.
Fort Faces Uncertain Future Under Hansi Flick
According to journalist Lucía Font, the La Masia product is not part of new head coach Hansi Flick’s immediate plans. With Jules Koundé, Eric García, and rising stars Gerard Martín and Jofre Torrents ahead of him in the pecking order, Fort’s playing time looks increasingly limited for the upcoming season.
Despite this, Fort remains determined to fight for a spot in the first team. Sources close to the player say he believes he has the quality to contribute at the top level and is unwilling to depart without a fight.
Barcelona Urges Fort to Seek Opportunities Elsewhere
Barcelona’s board has reportedly advised Fort to seek a new club, citing competition and lack of projected minutes as key reasons. Journalist Víctor Navarro reported that the club’s preference is to cash in on the youngster, with President Joan Laporta seeking a fee close to or above Fort’s estimated €10 million (R$64 million) market value, according to Transfermarkt.
Aston Villa Could Offer Regular Playing Time
Aston Villa, managed by Unai Emery, sees Fort as a potential starter. The English club is keen to bolster its right side of defense and views the Spanish youth international as a long-term investment.
In addition to Aston Villa, Paris FC and other smaller European clubs have shown interest in the defender. Still, the Premier League side appears the most serious and financially capable suitor.
