Newcastle sign Nick Woltemade for €75 million after beating interest from Bayern and RB Leipzig

Newcastle United have confirmed an agreement with Stuttgart for the signing of German striker Nick Woltemade in a deal worth up to €75 million, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Deal details
The transfer includes a €70 million fixed fee (R$444.5 million) plus €5 million in performance-related bonuses. At just 23, Woltemade has already agreed personal terms and will soon travel to England for medical examinations before signing his contract.
Bundesliga star draws European giants
Woltemade became one of the hottest names in the market after scoring 15 goals in the Bundesliga last season, helping Stuttgart secure Champions League qualification. His mobility and finishing power caught the attention of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, both of whom monitored the striker closely before Newcastle accelerated talks.
A new attacking project for Newcastle
For the Magpies, the deal represents a major step in their offensive rebuild following the departure of Callum Wilson. Woltemade is expected to form a new attacking trio with Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, giving manager Eddie Howe fresh firepower for the Premier League and Europe.
By moving quickly, Newcastle managed to secure one of the most promising young forwards in Europe, signaling their ambition for the 2025/26 season.
