Milan and Roma are considering a swap deal between Santiago Giménez and Dovbyk in the final hours of the transfer window

AC Milan are evaluating a potential striker swap with AS Roma involving Santiago Giménez and Artem Dovbyk, as the Serie A giants seek last-minute reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
Milan React After Serie A Win
The Rossoneri bounced back in the Italian league with a 2-0 victory over Lecce on Friday (29), thanks to goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic. The result eased pressure after a disappointing opening-round defeat.
But off the pitch, Milan’s focus remains firmly on the transfer market, with the club determined to secure a reliable center forward before deadline day.
Swap Deal on the Table
Sporting director Igli Tare confirmed that Milan are considering a swap deal with Roma, sending Santiago Giménez to the capital in exchange for Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk.
“We are evaluating a swap between Dovbyk and Santi Giménez, we will see after the match,” Tare said.
“If possible, we’ll make the switch. Otherwise, we’ll stick with the current team.”
The potential deal comes amid Milan’s cooling interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, whose future remains uncertain.
Nkunku Joins Milan Squad
Meanwhile, Milan have secured the signing of Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea in a €42 million deal. The French striker, who fell out of favor in London after the Club World Cup, is expected to add depth to the attack, even if he does not fit the profile of a traditional No. 9.
The Rossoneri also explored a move for Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, but the transfer collapsed after the Nigerian failed his medical.
