Manchester United receives enquiries from Roma about Jadon Sancho’s transfer this summer

Manchester United winger’s future remains uncertain ahead of summer transfer window
AS Roma has entered the race to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, challenging Borussia Dortmund’s hopes of bringing the England international back to Germany this summer.
According to journalist Alfredo Pedullà, the Italian club has opened talks with United to explore a possible move, though it remains unclear whether the negotiations are for a permanent transfer or a loan deal. Developments are expected in the coming days.
Sancho, 24, has fallen out of manager Ruben Amorim’s plans and is widely expected to leave Old Trafford. The club’s hierarchy is reportedly open to adopting a similar strategy to the one used for Rasmus Højlund allowing a loan with an option to buy. Højlund, signed two years ago for €80 million (R$492 million), failed to deliver consistent performances and is now a target for AC Milan.
Dortmund Still Leading, But Roma Threatens Move
While Dortmund remains Sancho’s preferred destination, Roma’s late interest could complicate the German side’s plans. The winger is willing to accept a pay cut from his current £13 million (€15.25 million) annual salary to secure a return to Signal Iduna Park, where he previously enjoyed his best football.
Borussia Dortmund’s management and supporters are reportedly enthusiastic about Sancho’s comeback. However, any deal will require the green light from head coach Niko Kovač.
With the transfer window heating up, Sancho’s next move is set to be one of the summer’s most closely watched sagas and Roma’s entry could make it an even more intriguing battle.
