Lee Kang-in doesn’t want to be a reserve at PSG and asks for a transfer; Napoli is monitoring the situation

Lee Kang-in has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he wants to leave the club this summer. According to L’Équipe, the South Korean star is frustrated with his lack of playing time under Luis Enrique and refuses to remain as Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s backup.

PSG Reluctant to Sell

Despite the player’s request, PSG has no intention of negotiating his departure in this transfer window. Club directors believe Lee remains an important part of the squad, while Enrique values him as a reliable option for rotation across the attacking front. The Spaniard considers him a key contributor, especially after his role in the Super Cup victory.

Napoli’s Strong Interest

Among the suitors, Napoli has emerged as the most attractive destination for Lee. At the Italian club, he would face competition mainly from Matteo Politano and David Neres, a scenario that could give him significantly more playing time.

Coach Antonio Conte has prioritized signing an additional winger before the market closes, and Lee fits his tactical plans. There is reportedly mutual interest, with Napoli preparing to explore a deal in the coming days.

Market Value Drop

Lee contributed 13 goals last season across all competitions but was often used as a substitute, playing just over 2,400 minutes. His limited role impacted his valuation, which according to Transfermarkt, has dropped to €25 million (R$159 million).

That figure could make him an affordable target for Napoli or other Premier League clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal, both of which are monitoring his situation.

For now, however, PSG is firm: the 23-year-old remains non-transferable.
